Shall I?

The sequel to "Beyond the Fence".

This is the moment I have been waiting for ever since trapped in this enclosure. But why am I not madly dashing out? Is it possible the enclosure, while it did not dampen my spirit, bonded my mind to the chain link fence? Furthermore, what will become of me once my feet feel the grass on the other side?

Forgetting my trapped self is beyond me, while its survival depends on remaining here.

Yet, I am neither here nor there. I am not the person wishing to become free nor am I an unbridled individual. I am the person deliberating my thoughts - limbo...I am now afraid of something else. Not remaining in limbo forever, but rather returning to it once breaking past the glass covering around my mind.
